Mantrap by HML is a boutique fashion and design collection I created my name is Heathyr Lawrence, a designer with more than four decades of experience. The collection spans designs from 1989 to the present and brings together couture pieces, one-of-a-kind garments, upcycled creations, and wearable art. 

Rather than follow a conventional fashion house model, my approach to clothing is a form of personal storytelling and style. 

Vintage and sentimental materials can become part of new garments, my grandmother’s hankies sewn onto muscle t-shirts and crop tops, while a humble pillowcase can be transformed into a convertible dress.

That is where Catoure becomes such a wonderful description of the work: couture sensibility without the restrictions of a traditional couture house.

This new website is a showcase some of my life’s work. It allows you to move though the evolution of my designs from 1989 to today.

Nothing is too humble to become extraordinary.
